This solenoid is required the use of the Carburetor Plate Nozzle Adaptor (Part # 40050).
For use when the nozzle is mounted after the throttle plate (to keep from siphoning at idle) or if the nozzle must be mounted lower than the reservoir (to keep from gravity feeding).
